Everyone who plays Halo plays just for ranks, fun, and bragging rights, as there is no class system and thus nothing to unlock.
The problem with an elimination mode is that the maps are huge and there are 32 people in the game. So if you had an elimination mode you would have to wait for 16 people to die before you re-spawned. That is too long to wait.
As for the spawn point chaos...
A true party system, whereby you could form a team of up to 16 players all in one party, and take that party into fights against another party would go a long way to eliminate most of that chaos.
Adding more ranks is good.
Adding a true "invite friend" option is even better.
But IMPLEMENTING A PARTY SYSTEM WOULD BE THE BEST.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the DS/SIXAXIS/DS3 was designed by an Asian.....

But none of it is as important as a party system.
In order of importance GG should give us.
1. Party System
2. Higher Ranks
3. Ability for two people to play together online.
4. Online campaign co-op.
Hopefully it will be a party system.
Resident Evil 5's problem is that it does NOT do what it has been doing. That is why people are complaining. Resident Evil had a formula that made the series great and RE5 went away from it. From all expectations GOW3 is going to give us exactly what we expect and want, Kratos kicking @$$ all over the place.

The quick-time events in the GOW series have always been the best by far. All these other games have been to recreate what it does but none of them have...

So, this guy has never played Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 has he?
Ninja Gaiden gameplay gets 5 out of 5 stars, but the story gets about 2 out of 5.
Nevertheless, NGS2 is a pre-order, day one, purchase for me.
In fact, I have just begun my first playthrough of NGS1 on Master Ninja mode....boy, is it hard.
If you have to choose one you choose one I would (and did) choose the PS3.
